Google recently made its website go black in respect to Earth Hour.
The folks over at techcrunch were pretty tough on them, saying that
We criticized Google when we first posted about this because, it turns out, black web pages actually may use more power than white ones (based on a study that Google itself cited
last year). So Google is, ironically, causing people who visit their site to use more power to celebrate Earth Hour than they would on a normal day.
In a way agree, because what does black have to do with the environment, or the Earth. But the thought is worth it though.
It raises the question personally to me, where I stand, on the environment. Everyone else is spreading the word of all green. The question is whether we should join them, or not.
It is a central question which has not been addressed enough. Global warming will eventually affect us too won’t it? Also our forests and animals need support too right?
How can an startups and companies be more environmentally friendly? That is the question of the day. Email suggestions to tlcwebstudio@yahoo.com.

I think google was pretty cool for what they did but that’s just me!
i agree too, its a nice move and they are raising awareness so that counts.
i just don’t feel black, maybe if it was brown or green, but thats beside the point.
That’s cool to mother Earth.
Any amount of effort are appreciated.
